Dr. Bjorn is a Washington native, but has roots in Eastern Idaho where his Grandparents were born and raised. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. He then studied at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon and graduated in 2011. In his training, Dr. Bjorn completed internships in Ocular Disease at the American Lakes Veterans Hospital in Lakewood, Washington, and at Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute in Sherwood, Oregon. During time off from college, Dr. Bjorn was a Certified Ophthalmic Technician. He worked as an assistant at Evergreen Eye Center in the South Seattle area. He would later return to Evergreen and practice for seven years as an Optometrist.
Dr. Bjorn joins Intermountain Eye Centers with experience in diagnosing and treating Ocular Diseases including Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, Dry Eye, and others. He also has a strong background in postoperative care in ocular surgery and in comprehensive eye exams. In 2018 he was awarded Board Certification and is a Diplomat of The American Board of Optometry.
During his spare time, Dr. Bjorn loves to enjoy the outdoors with his wife, two daughters, and two sons. He enjoys hiking, golfing, fishing, and attending his kids’ sporting events.
