Chad Herschberger, O.D.

Dr. Chad Herschberger, an Indiana native, first joined Intermountain Eye Centers in September of 2024.
He received his Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from Indiana University South Bend before
graduating, Summa Cum Laude, from Indiana University School of Optometry. Dr. Herschberger most
recently completed his post-doctoral training as an Ocular Disease Resident Optometrist at the highly
competitive Bennett and Bloom Eye Centers in Louisville, Kentucky where he had intensive training in
corneal disease, glaucoma, oculoplastics, peri-operative management, emergency eye care, and a
special focus in retinal disease.

While at Indiana University, Dr. Herschberger took part in leadership roles in multiple organizations
including the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, Ocular Disease Club, and as an Associate Instructor of Binocular Vision. He has also received multiple letters of clinical excellence throughout his training
including the American Academy of Optometry J. Pat Cummings Award, the American Academy of
Optometry Practice Excellence Award, and the Indiana Optometric Association Alice J. Bennett Memorial Award.

Dr. Herschberger is a member of the Gold Key International Honor Society, the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor
Society, the American Optometric Association, the Idaho Optometric Association, and the American
Academy of Optometry. He married his wife, Havuka, in May of 2023 and enjoys mountain biking,
climbing, snowboarding, and traveling in his free time.
