BRANDON HICKS, O.D.
Dr. Hicks received his undergraduate degree in Health Science from Brigham University- Idaho. He then graduated Cum Laude from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He completed his residency at The Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. During his residency he treated specialty patients at the Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah Hospital. Before joining Intermountain Eye Center, Dr. Hicks spent 11 years in a specialty eye clinic treating severe eye diseases in a underserved population of southern New Mexico. Dr. Hicks values providing excellent care and communicating well with his patients. He is also fluent in Spanish. He spent several years as adjunct clinical professor for The Ohio State College of Optometry.
His areas of interest are treating and managing patients with cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, autoimmune conditions of the eye, diabetic eye disease, and various other infections and diseases of the eye. He also specializes in contact lenses for patients with high or abnormal amounts of astigmatism, dry eyes, keratoconus, ocular trauma, and corneal transplant.
Dr. Hicks is a member of the American Optometric Association, Idaho Optometric Physicians, Scleral Lens Education Society, and Beta Sigma Kappa Optometry Honor Society.
Outside of treating patients, Dr. Hicks enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and 3 children. He and his family love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, fishing, water sports and UTV riding. They are happy to call the Treasure Valley home.
