Lee Carter, OD
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Carter moved to Idaho after graduating from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2005. During his studies, he completed externships at a multi-disciplinary ophthalmology practice serving southern Ohio. He was also awarded a highly competitive federal graduate fellowship in Spanish studies typically reserved for those in health care graduate fields.
Since moving to Idaho, he has worked in a variety of sub-specialty ophthalmology offices including oculoplastic ophthalmology and refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK). In addition, he worked at a private optometry office in Nampa managing general eye diseases such as diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
Since joining our practice in 2012, Dr. Carter has gained an enhanced optometric experience working side by side with Intermountain Eye Clinic’s sub-specialty ophthalmologists in retinal disease, refractive surgery, cataract surgery, and glaucoma management. He is located at our new location in Downtown Boise on Front Street behind Whole Foods.
He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Idaho Optometric Association. He and his wife enjoy hiking, biking, fishing and traveling with their four kids.
